Case Study: South Dakota DOT Bridge

- Situation: Found a bridge with leaking cracks that they could see underneath. This was initially just a demo but they wanted to treat half the bridge so they could compare with a sealer they have been using so they purchased additional materials that were needed.
- Challenge: To stop the leaking and preserve the life of the bridgeDECK a waterproofing solution needed to be applied without closing the bridge for traffic.
- Solution: BridgeDECK Waterproofing system was chosen to apply to one side of the road while the other remained active. Once that side dried the other lane was closed and the lane which had already been treated was open to traffic after the concrete dried. A high volume spray application was done via cistern trucks to speed up the process.
